Casselman advances its bciti+ platform with a new real-time smart water consumption service
The Town of Casselman is expanding its bciti+ multi-service platform by connecting its existing smart water meters to its digital ecosystem.
Powered by ATNA, bciti+’s ethical AI, this integration will help residents better understand, anticipate, and manage their water usage — a vital resource often referred to as our “blue gold.”
Montréal December 3rd, 2025 - The Town of Casselman has signed an agreement with Solutions B-CITI Inc. to integrate bciti+ with its existing smart water meter infrastructure.
This initiative supports the Town’s vision of a centralized digital ecosystem, where municipal services — including water — are unified within a secure, multi-service citizen platform, powered by ethical AI ATNA.
Through an API connection to the meters deployed by KTI, bciti+ will provide residents with a real-time dashboard, personalized alerts, and AI-driven recommendations generated by ATNA based on their usage patterns.
Integrating ATNA into the bciti+ digital citizen card enables a new level of ultra-personalization, connecting each water meter to the resident’s unique digital ID, ensuring secure, ethical and controlled access to sensitive data.

What Casselman residents will be able to do
track their water usage in real time;
receive AI-powered recommendations from ATNA to help reduce water consumption;
detect leaks or unusual flow patterns quickly;
receive preventive alerts before exceeding thresholds;
manage multiple properties;
report issues directly to the Town.
All services will be accessible through the bciti+ digital citizen card, which automatically authenticates each user, links each meter to their unique digital ID, and unlocks all other services on the platform.
An AI dashboard for the municipality
The agreement also includes a new AI-powered municipal dashboard, enabling Casselman to:
view aggregated water consumption in real time;
receive ATNA-generated recommendations;
adjust public communications;
improve water resource management;
plan interventions more effectively.
This service enhances the bciti+ Smart City vertical, which includes citizen requests, alerts, digital identity, infrastructure management, recreation, info-collect and more — unified within a civic AI Super App built for communities.
