B-CITI Solutions Inc. Announces New API with CityWide for Citizen Requests
Vivianne Gravel
B-CITI Solutions Inc. (bciti+) announces the addition of a new CityWide integration API to its library of connectors for cities in North America. This API enables integration with the bciti+ Super-APP, more specifically with the bciti+ Request (311) citizen interface and integration via widgets on PG Solutions request systems. This advancement confirms bciti+'s interoperability strategy: allowing cities to keep their systems in place while offering citizens a modern, seamless, and intelligent experience—the foundation of the recommendation era.
Why an API rather than a widget?
Stronger user experience: An API unifies the interface (bciti+ app & web) without disrupting the process or changing the environment. Citizens can ask a question, report a problem, track progress, and receive updates all in one place.
Enriched, actionable data: via an API, exchanges are not “displayed” but rather exchanged from system to system. The result: complete metadata, history, quality, and consistency that fuel AI and analytics.
Scalability & Maintenance: The API follows integration standards (security, governance, testing), limiting dependency on third-party display. Updates to municipal systems are absorbed without impacting the citizen interface.
For cities: operational continuity and better management
“Smooth” integration: If a city already uses CityWide (or other query systems), bciti+ connects via API, without remodeling internal processes.
Centralized dashboard: bciti+ aggregates requests (bciti+ Request, CityWide, PG Solutions, ICO, etc.) into a single cockpit with real-time indicators, SLAs, heat maps, and trends.
Insights with AI: Duplicate detection, assisted classification, potential emergencies, intelligent prioritization and action recommendations (e.g. optimal schedules, teams, equipment).
Data quality: cleaning and standardization mechanisms to improve traceability, compliance and accountability.
For citizens: simplicity, transparency, results
A single entry point (bciti+ app/website) to create a request, track its status, receive notifications and understand deadlines.
AI assistance: Instant responses, step-by-step guidance, and pre-filling to reduce errors and time spent.
Helpful recommendations: Depending on the location, time, and type of request, ATNA suggests the correct form, required documents, and next steps.
“Our priority is simple: meeting the real needs of cities and citizens. If a city already operates a query system, we connect to it using the API to improve the experience without changing everything. For citizens, this translates into tangible simplicity; for administration, it translates into consolidated data and insights that accelerate decision-making,” explains Vivianne Gravel, CEO of Solutions B-CITI Inc.
Key technical points
Secure APIs (authentication, roles, logging) and data governance in line with best practices.
Chain of trust: data minimization, traceability, and ethical use of information.
Modularity: simultaneous connection to multiple query systems; switchover or coexistence possible depending on the city's modernization plan.
Disponibilité
The bciti+ CityWide API is now available to municipal clients and integration partners. Interested cities can schedule an integration diagnostic and a demo of the AI dashboard.
